The Makita DHP487Z cordless impact drill-driver (also known as 18V impact driver, compact LXT drill, Makita BLDC) is a tool designed for professionals and demanding DIY enthusiasts who need a lightweight, precise, and reliable drill for everyday assembly and drilling tasks in various materials.
Brushless motor and XPT technology
The DHP487Z model is equipped with a BLDC brushless motor, which provides greater efficiency, longer runtime, and reduced component wear. The XPT – Extreme Protection Technology increases the tool's resistance to dust and moisture, making it an ideal choice for working in harsh conditions.
Compact design and full control
Compared to the DHP483 model, the DHP487Z drill has been further shortened – its length is only 164 mm, significantly improving maneuverability in tight spaces. The ergonomic handle covered with elastomer ensures a secure grip and comfort during use.
The tool offers a mechanical 2-speed gearbox, smooth speed adjustment via the trigger, and 20-stage torque adjustment + drilling and hammer drilling modes. The maximum torque is 40 Nm, allowing for the execution of most assembly and installation tasks.
